Suffolk Park, Caversham
When one of our clients purchased a large holding within the Caversham Cell at the southern end of the Swan Urban Growth Corridor, we set about reviewing the planning framework and previous design layouts over the site.
We considered that the previous design lacked a sense of place for the site and set about creating this, together with improving efficiency and ultimately lot yield.
We have now successfully modified the Local Structure Plan to incorporate our new design layout, prepared applications and negotiated subdivision approvals and continue through local area plan processes.
Given the site’s sensitive location abutting vineyards within the Swan Valley, our design incorporates a range of lot sizes and types from small urban lots to larger ‘transitional’ lots providing an appropriate interface to the abutting rural uses.
Construction of this estate is ongoing.
